Il riassunto During its return to the earth, commercial spaceship Nostromo intercepts a distress signal from a distant planet. When a three-member team of the crew discovers a chamber containing thousands of eggs on the planet, a creature inside one of the eggs attacks an explorer. Il commento Alien non è invecchiato male, per niente anche se a modo suo. Questa fantascienza vecchio stile con astronavi che sembrano sottomarini, claustrofobiche, piene di tubi e lucine, e tutto il campionario della SF classica (viaggi stellari, ibernazioni, alieni, robot) non cambia il fatto che un film che parte con queste premesse si trasforma in un horror slasher quasi canonico, con la final girl e il controfinale. Il film tiene bene e l’odio per lo stupido gatto è sempre vivo.
