Il riassunto As the plague decimates medieval Europe, rumours circulate of a village immune from the plague. There is talk of a necromancer who leads the village and is able to raise the dead. A fearsome knight joined by a cohort of soldiers and a young monk are charged by the church to investigate. Il commento Un film figlio della stagione di Game of Thrones, non solo per la presenza di Sean Bean, ma per una rappresentaizone di un medioevo violento (poco importa se non è fantasy ma realistico), fatto di gente zozza e crudele che tortura e ammazza male la gente, e dove gli animi gentili non sopravvivono. Lascia perpessi la rappresentazione della fazione “scientifica” come altrettanto crudele, se non peggio, di quella oscurantista e religiosa, ma nel complesso non è male. Però Game of Thrones è più divertente.
