Il commento Un film dell’Anderson più andersoniano, coi suoi attori feticcio, il gusto per l’inquadratura, per le ambientazioni, coi personaggi che attraversano lo schermo da sinistra a destra, col gioco delle storie nelle storie a tratti artificiale. Eppure il film non è vuoto, è una bella storia di formazione con dei bei personaggi, richiami in un paese di fantasia a eventi reali, c’è spazio anche per commuoversi in un film che ha un tono da comica, più che da commedia. Per me non è il suo miglior film, ma è senza dubbio un film con un equilibrio riuscito.
