Il riassunto Frederic leads a bourgeois life; he is a partner in a small Paris office and is happily married to Helene, a teacher expecting her second child. In the afternoons, Frederic daydreams about other women, but has no intention of taking any action. One day, Chloe, who had been a mistress of an old friend, begins dropping by his office. Il commento Film molto francese, attraverso molti dialoghi brillanti (anche se poco naturali) e addirittura monologhi racconta delle titubanze di un borghese parigino nei confronti di una donna, una scheggia impazzita nella sua vita, ed esplora quell’area grigia tra amore e amicizia che mi pare che sia uno dei temi amati da Rohmer. Non è un film appassionante, è girato con decoro, senza troppi guizzi, e anche se qua e là appare invecchiato, sotto molti aspetti tratta argomenti universali ed è una visione interessante anche nel 2025.
