Il commento Terzo film in cui Anno gioca coi suoi miti di gioventù, Shin Kamen Rider è il meno riuscito. Qua non c’è traccia di satira o ammodernamento, solo un omaggio per una storia molto invecchiata, probabilmente farcita di riferimenti per i fan. Anche tecnicamente il film è meno ricco, e molto (troppo) spesso si gioca con i trucchi visivi dell’epoca, riproponendo mosse e inquadrature. Il film alla fine intrattiene il giusto, ma ci si aspettava di più, visti i due precedenti.
