Il commento Ottima interpretazione de “Il giro di vite”, in un bianco e nero magistrale, girato con grande classe e che strappa ben più di un brivido, dando un corpo sensato a un romanzo forse un po’ troppo etereo. Peccato per un finale un po’ affrettato e poco comprensibile.

Il commento Forse il film più coeaniano dei Coen, in cui la tripartizione del mondo in buoni, cattivi e imbecilli è più chiara e in cui l’agente del Caos scatena di tutto. Incredibile fotografia degli spazi bianchi del Nord Dakota, Frances McDormand incinta più deliziosa che mai. Un film pressoché perfetto.

Il commento Anime con tema ultraclassico (incomunicabilità tra gli adolescenti giapponesi), condito in salsa di haiku, influencer, centri commerciali e qualche vecchietto. Al netto di qualche orrenda scena in CG, ho apprezzato la parte estetica, ben animata e coloratissima.

Il commento Sicuramente non è un gran film, ma le critiche che avevo letto mi son sembrate troppo severe. E’ un film molto drammatico, quasi lugubre, senza alcun tipo di alleggerimento morettiano o no (ma forse già La stanza del figlio era così), non particolarmente innovativo dal punto di vista formale e, ahimé, con un cast da film italiano “serio” delle barzellette, tra quel cane maledetto di Scamarcio (mi sembra incredibile che lo facciano lavorare), la Buy che fa la solita Buy che si dispera, Moretti stesso che pur essendosi cucito addosso un personaggio a lui congeniale non riesce a svilupparlo, e persino Alba Rochvattelapesta che pare smarrita, più lei del suo personaggio. E poi queste tre storie, che a naso avrebbero dovuto incrociarsi, si sfiorano a malapena, sono tre racconti distinti. Eppure sono due ore di film drammatico pesante che non annoiano mai e in alcuni casi arrivano anche a commuovere. Ne sono uscito con l’idea che sia venuto fuori un film estremamente imperfetto, ma non completamente sbagliato, e che sia un incidente di percorso di Moretti e non la sua fine.

Il commento Il Dune di Villeneuve è sontuoso, visivamente eccellente, narrativamente potente fino a tre quarti (fino a un finale, dopo due ore e mezza, che arriva benvenuto per gli spettatori esausti). Forse la cosa che più colpisce chi è a digiuno di Dune è quanto Lucas abbia saccheggiato questa saga per il suo Star Wars. Piuttosto impressionante. Chalamet è un pesce lesso ma ci sta nel personaggio.

Il commento Tinto Brass solo ogni tanto si ricorda di essere un bravo regista in questo film stupidino, con le sue tipiche belle ragazze svestite, una curiosa fotografia sovraesposta e una nostalgica rappresentazione di un periodo forse mai esistito. Rimangono sullo sfondo alcune figure interessanti poco esplorate.

Il commento Partendo da uno spunto apparentemente semplice di una fiaba, Takahata lascia un monumentale testamento, in un film dalla complessità visiva incredibile, di una bellezza estasiante in ogni momento, fino alla commozione.

Il commento Forse il film più genuinamente divertente e divertito della saga di Evangelion, mette per un attimo in secondo piano depressione e segoni mentali per mostrare botte tra robot e mostri, misteri ed evolvere i rapporti tra i personaggi invece che sviscerarli da dentro.
