Il commento Discreto anime che parla di due mangaka, del rapporto tra di loro e di cosa avrebbe potuto essere. Curiosamente corto, probabilmente troppo (<60’) l’ho trovato molto ben disegnato e girato, e ambientato il quel Giappone rurale/montano che affascina tanto, ma non sempre a fuoco nella narrazione, tanto che finisce che lo spettatore rimane un po’ freddo.

Il commento Un mostro da oltre due ore e mezza per concludere (sarà vero?) la trentennale saga di Evangelion, è un film esagerato. C’è tanta bella azione, i momenti intimisti, le seghe mentali dei personaggi, un sacco di roba incomprensibile per chi ha voglia di approfondire (e troverà coerenza, questo è incredibile), persino sperimentazioni di animazione, e, insomma, più o meno sempre lo stesso finale, narrato in tanti modi diversi. Credo che Anno non poteva salutare la sua creatura più famosa in modo migliore.

Il commento Una stagione breve con solo una partita, forse qualche approfondimento dei personaggi di meno, ma rimane il perfetto paradigma degli spokon: appassionarsi a imprese di gente con un terzo della mia età, dall’altra parte del mondo, che giocano a sport di cui magari non so manco bene le regole.

Il commento L’ultimo film del compianto Kon è un caleidoscopio di sogni e realtà. Non è così importante capire tutto quello che succede, anzi, non è neanche previsto, e pazienza se i dialoghi sono spesso didascalici (forse per far prendere fiato): la potenza visiva del film è straordinaria, indimenticabile.

Il commento Uno spokon come si deve, con un protagonista molto spesso messo in ombra dai compagni di squadra ma anche dagli avversari. Gioventù, passione, sudore, vittorie, sconfitte. E’ l’ABC degli spokon, ma non è così facile farli bene come questo.

Il commento Una storia del compianto Toriyama che mette insieme il gusto per il design dell’autore, l’aspetto più infantile e umoristico del primo Dragonball e quello drammatico e di azione della stessa opera nelle fasi più avanzate. I giapponesi hanno imparato a usare la CG, in quello stile pittorico inaugurato da Slam Dunk, e il film è davvero un piacere da tutti i punti di vista. Quanto ci mancherai, Akira!

Il commento Questo film è stata una discreta sorpresa, perché non ci si aspettava molto da un anime che funge da prequel a Gegege no Kitaro di Shotaro Mizuki. Si tratta di un thriller horror a base di mostri giapponesi, ma che riesce a incastrare in modo naturale nella storia il clima del Giappone post-bellico, tra pentimento, volontà di rivalsa e una certa dose di rancore. La storia di successione dinastica va in questa direzione e anche se a volte manca qualche cosa a chi non conosce il manga (come il sottoscritto), la trama dà soddisfazione. Design molto lontano dal grottesco umoristico di Mizuki e forse un po’ piatto, anche come regia.

Il commento Il terzo film di Evangelion, ovvero quando smette di far finta di esser qualcosa di simile a quanto c’è nella serie. Dopo un inizio molto d’azione c’è una fase centrale molto tranquilla e quasi meditativa, in cui allo spettatore pare anche di averci capito qualcosa. Nessun problema: ci pensa il finale a farti tornare al tuo posto. Molta CG invecchiata assai male, ahimè.

Il commento Primo film riassuntivo della serie classica di Gundam, taglia molti degli aspetti più infantili e, rimasta più asciutta, la serie presenta un sacco di azione a colpi di robot il cui interesse moderno è limitato, e invece un focus sui giovani che ho trovato intrigante. I vecchi qua non fanno mai una bella figura.
