Il commento Coi limiti di una sit-com di quarant’anni fa, che implementa in pieno, Family Ties regge ancora piuttosto bene. E’ divertente, i personaggi sono abbastanza ben scritti (anche se c’è qualche variabile di troppo qua e là su quanto Alex sia arido e quanto Mellory oca) e ogni tanto c’è un episodio molto migliore. Da proseguire, ho il sospetto che migliorerà.

Il commento Che bella scoperta Adventure Time! Si parla proprio di avventure, con lo spirito dei ragazzini: quindi botte, mostri, principesse da salvare. Qualcosa di completamente diverso rispetto al panorama dell’animazione per ragazzi di oggi. Un sacco di invenzioni divertenti.

Il commento Bof, davvero poco significativo questo “what if” su Scott Pilgrim. Poco esaltante l’animazione, pochi colpi di scena, molto noiosi i combattimenti, solo interessante il lavoro fatto sui personaggi secondari. Dimenticabile.

Il commento Insieme a Hill House, sicuramente la migliore miniserie di Flanagan per Netflix. I riferimenti a Poe alla fine sono abbastanza superficiali (d’altronde, non è che esista un Poeverso) ma è interessante soprattutto il riferimento all’attualità americana e la crisi degli oppiodi. Ne risulta una serie meno horror, ma con un livello di intrattenimento alto, cosa rara nelle serie Netflix, girata bene e con bei personaggi.

Il commento Una gradevolissima serie commedia/poliziesca ambientata in un posto che ridefinisce il concetto di “buco di culo del mondo” (un paesello in Tasmania), con bei personaggi e un accento molto forte sulle dinamiche uomo/donna, col difetto che a tratti diventano parodistiche, e a volte forse qualche eccesso di falsa pista.

Il commento Sto trovando Community un po’ invecchiata. Abbastanza divertente, ricca di gag e con la bibbia meglio scritta della storia della televisione, ma molte trovate mi appaiono poco riuscite. Forse (effetto Beatles) è stata seminale e molto copiata.

Il commento L’ultima stagione di Sex Education è meno compatta, vaga tra mille sottotrame, alcune delle quali più efficaci e altre meno, ma nel complesso rimane godibilissima. Mi è spiaciuto che il mio personaggio preferito, Adam, sia rimasto trascurato, mentre ho adorato lo story arc di Aimee. Mamma mia che antipatici invece i protagonisti. Mi mancherà questa serie, ma era giusto che finisse.

Il commento La seconda stagione di HYMYF prende meglio il tiro rispetto alla prima, focalizzando meglio i personaggi e con puntate semplicemente più divertenti. Non rimane un capolavoro, ma un buon esercizio di sit-com. Peccato sia stata cancellata.

Il commento Come ci si poteva aspettare, questa resurrezione di Fururama è inutile, svogliata e sembra una fan fiction. Ci sono episodi a tema sulle cose successe in questi anni (le piattaforme di streaming, il Covid, le criptovalute) che sembrano scimmiottare quello che fa South Park con ben altri esiti. La gag principale, ripetuta all’inverisimile, è che Futurama è stata cancellata ed è tornata. Per fortuna erano solo otto episodi.
