Il commento Il seguito di Train to Busan è un classico film di zombie, senza particolari guizzi ma realizzato abbastanza bene. C’è un po’ di Mad Max, un po’ dello spunto poi usato (male) in Army of the dead, zombi corridori e Seul devastata. Un discreto e molto poco realistico inseguimento tra auto e camion in mezzo agli zombi. In generale, abbastanza per intrattenere, non sufficiente per essere ricordato. Mi aspettavo, dal titolo e dai primi minuti, che si parlasse di Corea del Nord, ma l’argomento è stato ignorato. Peccato, poteva essere uno spunto valido.

Il commento Buon horror per ragazzi. Sembra che si strutturi con una cornice e una serie di raccontini, ma questi ultimi vengono immediatamente trascurati per concentrarsi sul contesto, che è una versione alla lontana di Hansel e Gretel. Non tutto torna perfettamente, ma l’atmosfera c’è, la tensione tiene, si cita Raimi che produce e gli scenari sono ben fatti.

Il commento Il quinto “Scream” non è “Scream 5” ma “Scream” e basta, probabilmente per rimarcare il fatto che il gioco meta, introdotto nel primo, è qui portato agli estremi. E se il primo parlava delle regole degli slasher, il secondo dei sequel e il terzo delle trilogia (il quarto non conta), qui si parla delle regole dei “requel”, dei film-nostalgia che stanno andando molto di moda, condendo tutto con un mondo in cui esistono i film di Scream, sebbene chiamati “Stab”, con ovvi rimandi al mondo reale. Il tutto funziona fino a un certo punto, i due registi non sono Wes Craven e i protagonisti sono antipatici in modo non voluto, e le riflessioni sui requel, per quanto originali, sono piuttosto superficiali, ma rimane un discreto slasher che non ha paura di usare i cellulari. Courtney Cox è invecchiata malissimo, Neve Campell è una splendida quarantenne.

Il commento Horror di fantasmi coreano con grandi debiti per il j-horror dei primi 2000 con una curiosa ambientazione ferroviaria. E’ un film confuso, si fatica molto a seguire dove vuole portarci; sembra a tratti procedere a casaccio, e il fatto che i personaggi siano caratterizzati male non aiuta. Si riprende parzialmente nel finale, in cui qualche cosa (non tutto) si spiega e strappa una risicata sufficienza. Qualche buona scena de paura.

Il commento Commedia horror francofona su un gruppo di pallavoliste e il canonico gruppo di pazzi assassini cannibali nei boschi. Ci prova molto poco a far qualcosa di inedito, ma tutto sommato le ragazze sono abbastanza ben caratterizzate, il film è splatteroso e grottesco al punto giusto e gioca con la situazione surreale, risultando una visione gradevole e divertente.

Il commento La seconda parte di It ha il peccato capitale di focalizzarsi troppo sulla versione adulta del gruppo dei Perdenti, con conseguente empatia ridotta, e di essere troppo lungo e sfilacciato. Tutto sommato però non è un cattivo film, riesce anche a fare occasionalmente paura e ha il grande merito di ricostruire un finale decente almeno dal punto di vista visivo (molto gustosa la gag in cui si pungola King per i suoi finali!). It rimane ancora un libro senza un film al suo livello, ma in confronto alle schifezze tratte da King che si vedono, è da leccarsi i baffi.

Il commento Fulci si concentra nella regia delle singole scene, senza nemmeno provare a dare un senso a una trama che dire sconclusionata è proprio generoso. Per fortuna è bravo e le scene una per una funzionano anche bene. Attori terribili, belle musiche, finale suggestivo, insopportabile scena coi ragni.

Il commento Tre episodi più o meno horror, con una flebile cornice con un Boris Karloff sopra le righe, in tre generi diversi: uno slasher che sembra un episodio di Inside N.9, una storia di vampiri un po’ prevedibile,e una storia di fantasmi che se avesse avuto qualche effetto speciale un po’ migliore avrebbe fatto anche paura. Piuttosto invecchiato, ma con discreta classe.

Il commento Decostruzione degli slasher (e in particolare di Venerdì 13) con una rottura letterale della quarta parete, riesce a divertire ma anche a fare un discorso sul ruolo delle persone non banalissimo ma soprattutto non fuori luogo. Forse osa troppo poco lato horror.

Il commento Horror italiano abbastanza celebre ai tempi con un sacco di effettacci gore, in alcuni casi ben riusciti e in altri meno (la bava dei demoni è latte e menta!) e girato anche abbastanza bene, anche se per raggiungere l’ora e mezza di girato si arranca un po’. Bell’intro e bel finale.
