Il commento Mi ero fatto l’idea, dal trailer, che fosse uno del filone “etnico” Disney, ma, anche se la morale sulla famigghia è pesantuccia, l’ho trovato a tratti commovente e con gran bei personaggi. Esteticamente, poi, mi è piaciuta l’espressività che non cade nell’overacting che è un grosso rischio nei film animati moderni. la trama è poco incisiva, ma le canzoni hanno un mood musical molto più esteso del classico “momento canzone” e grandi coreografie.

Il commento Non è male, ma il grido “i Simpson sono tornati quelli di una volta” è decisamente esagerato. Più che altro, c’è una metà di episodi proprio mediocri, una certa quantità di episodi discreti, e 3-4 episodi eccellenti, che rientrano nel mood dei Treehouse of Horrors, ovvero storie che esulano dalla narrazione standard e inventano qualcosa di diverso, spesso citando. Oltre il Treehouse vero e proprio, c’è un episodio che è una parodia di It (quindi un treehouse di durata tripla), un altro che espande la relazione tra Lisa e Nelson, andando anche nel futuro, ed è Harry ti presento Sally, e ancora uno, l’ultimo, tutto al rallentatore, ambientato nel momento in cui Homer è in aria dopo un incidente stradale. Altri episodi giocano sull’attualità (uno sui youtuber, uno sulle swifties…) ma vedo Parker e Stone ridacchiare dicendo “ragazzi, state al vostro posto e lasciate il mestiere a chi lo sa fare”.

Il commento Ambientato nella Francia del primo dopoguerra, questo film sono ricordi di un bambino e il suo rapporto col padre, un uomo silenzioso e che decide di costruirsi una barca in giardino, solo che invece no. È un film classico, con un’estetica che appaga tramite i suoi toni pastello e lo stile di un certo tipo di fumetto francese, e in qualche modo è una storia che scalda il cuore. Però, per dirla con un eufemismo, non è certo un film eccitante.

Il commento Cupo come solo un film tedesco sul terrorismo politico degli anni ‘70 può essere, il film di von Trotta si focalizza sul rapporto tra due sorelle, una giornalista e una terrorista, e del loro rapporto di complicità fatta di contrasti. Il film non ha paura di ellissi temporali e a volte anche narrative, ma rimane la sensazione che la regista sia stata costretta a tagliare più che aver fatto questa scelta. Frase chiave: “Se tu fossi nata una generazione prima, saresti stata nazista”.

Il commento Poco da aggiungere alla seconda stagione di Family Ties. Quello che forse la rende meno moderna è la mancanza di comprimari costanti, il che è un peccato perché spesso ne compaiono di interessanti.

Il commento Coi limiti di una sit-com di quarant’anni fa, che implementa in pieno, Family Ties regge ancora piuttosto bene. E’ divertente, i personaggi sono abbastanza ben scritti (anche se c’è qualche variabile di troppo qua e là su quanto Alex sia arido e quanto Mellory oca) e ogni tanto c’è un episodio molto migliore. Da proseguire, ho il sospetto che migliorerà.

Il commento La seconda stagione di MitM è migliore della prima, con alcune punte come l’episodio doppio al bowling o il primo, una sorta di citazione di National Lampoon’s Summer Vacation. Rimangono alcuni dubbi, come la scollatura del figlio al collegio militare (anche se certe gag da quelle parti sono impagabili), la poca definizione del carattere del padre e lo spunto della genialità di Malcolm che è pressoché sempre ignorato: tuttavia, la serie si lascia seguire. Non mi ha conquistato, però, finora.

Il commento L’ottava stagione di Moder Family arranca. Si ricorre al vecchio trucco di metterci un bimbo carino nuovo, indice di stanchezza. E però son rari gli episodi proprio scialbi, c’è sempre un guizzo interessante. Indeciso se proseguire o meno.

Il commento La prima stagione di Malcolm in the Middle non convince pienamente, anche se ci vedo grosse potenzialità. Perplime il fatto che l’assunto iniziale, che Malcolm sia un genio, in realtà è trascuratissimo.
