Il commento Il seguito di Train to Busan è un classico film di zombie, senza particolari guizzi ma realizzato abbastanza bene. C’è un po’ di Mad Max, un po’ dello spunto poi usato (male) in Army of the dead, zombi corridori e Seul devastata. Un discreto e molto poco realistico inseguimento tra auto e camion in mezzo agli zombi. In generale, abbastanza per intrattenere, non sufficiente per essere ricordato. Mi aspettavo, dal titolo e dai primi minuti, che si parlasse di Corea del Nord, ma l’argomento è stato ignorato. Peccato, poteva essere uno spunto valido.

Il commento Il confronto col pessimo film con Will Smith è impietoso, ma tutto sommato “L’ultimo uomo sulla Terra” è una discreta messa in scena del romanzo di Matheson “Io sono Leggenda”, anche se i vampiri sono molto poco vampirosi e spesso si vede che è girato con due soldi. Però l’atmosfera del racconto della pandemia è molto inquietante, e anche la disperazione dell’uomo. Si perde, però, in un finale affrettato (dopo un lungo e inutile inseguimento) che manca il significato più profondo del libro. Peccato.

Il commento Sotto una patina di preteen adventure movie, questo film non ci prova nemmeno un attimo a nascondere il fatto che parla di gentrification. La visione è tutto sommato abbastanza piacevole, con un horror leggero leggero e senza nessun tipo di sorpresa: a parte essere nel real estate, i vampiri rispettano tutti i canoni del genere, anche se il riferimento citato più spesso è Blade (per motivi etnografici, direi). Non particolarmente curato o intelligente, ma ok per una serata relax.

As the film goes we see that the train has more hidden secrets that lead to a suspicion that it might be linked to the crash of the same train several years ago. Il commento Horror di fantasmi coreano con grandi debiti per il j-horror dei primi 2000 con una curiosa ambientazione ferroviaria. E’ un film confuso, si fatica molto a seguire dove vuole portarci; sembra a tratti procedere a casaccio, e il fatto che i personaggi siano caratterizzati male non aiuta. Si riprende parzialmente nel finale, in cui qualche cosa (non tutto) si spiega e strappa una risicata sufficienza. Qualche buona scena de paura.

Il commento Tre episodi più o meno horror, con una flebile cornice con un Boris Karloff sopra le righe, in tre generi diversi: uno slasher che sembra un episodio di Inside N.9, una storia di vampiri un po’ prevedibile,e una storia di fantasmi che se avesse avuto qualche effetto speciale un po’ migliore avrebbe fatto anche paura. Piuttosto invecchiato, ma con discreta classe.

Il commento Seguito trent’anni dopo di Ghostbusters, tra i vari recuperi anni ‘80 è quello decisamente venuto meglio, riesce a omaggiare l’originale e citarlo con discrezione (in alcuni casi rifacendo papali alcune scene) senza il nauseante effetto nostalgico melassoso di Stranger Things ed eponimi. Effetti speciali che strizzano l’occhio al vintage, qualche dubbio sulla scrittura di alcuni personaggi (la protagonista è troppo Shledon, il fratello poco significtativo), ma ci si diverte.

Il commento Ottima interpretazione de “Il giro di vite”, in un bianco e nero magistrale, girato con grande classe e che strappa ben più di un brivido, dando un corpo sensato a un romanzo forse un po’ troppo etereo. Peccato per un finale un po’ affrettato e poco comprensibile.

Il commento Piccolo horror Blumhouse in cui si sfrutta lo spunto “tutto online” per tagliare il budget. La premessa di “fantasma nella rete ma che sa anche ammazzare chissà come” è risibile e i protagonisti tutti insopportabili, tanto che fa piacere vederli schiattare, ma la tensione funzionicchia.

Il commento Snyder sa girare, ma è un grosso imbecille. Film eccessivo, con qualche buona idea sprecata; si prende troppo sul serio, ha dei gran bei titoli di testa, lo dimenticheremo presto.
