Il commento Una versione più elaborata e filosofica di Sliding Doors, girata dannatamente bene e senza paura di confondere lo spettatore a colpi di storie parallele, variazioni sul tema, scenari più o meno tristi o apocalittici. Qualche scena onirica poco necessaria, un po’ troppo lungo, ma un gran film.

Il commento Una puntatona dei Soprano in costume, in cui si affianca quell’atmosfera e quello stile di scrittura che funziona così bene al gioco di riconoscere i personaggi da giovani, in un casting che lascia a bocca aperta.

Il commento Al suo secondo film, Mainetti fa le cose in grande e pur partendo da una premessa simile a “Lo chiamavano Jeeg Robot” (supereroi a Roma) e mantenendo lo stesso spirito di cambi di registro dal comico al drammatico all’azione, con personaggi molto umani e ben diretti, grandi invenzioni (il gruppo di partigiani storpi! Il circo nazista!) e un ottimo cattivo, il personaggio più complesso e riuscito del film. E in più una messa in scena grandiosa, felliniana a tratti, effetti speciali discreti. Qualche cosa non torna completamente, qualche coincidenza di troppo, ma chissene, un film memorabile e commovente.

Il commento Anime con tema ultraclassico (incomunicabilità tra gli adolescenti giapponesi), condito in salsa di haiku, influencer, centri commerciali e qualche vecchietto. Al netto di qualche orrenda scena in CG, ho apprezzato la parte estetica, ben animata e coloratissima.

Il commento Il Dune di Villeneuve è sontuoso, visivamente eccellente, narrativamente potente fino a tre quarti (fino a un finale, dopo due ore e mezza, che arriva benvenuto per gli spettatori esausti). Forse la cosa che più colpisce chi è a digiuno di Dune è quanto Lucas abbia saccheggiato questa saga per il suo Star Wars. Piuttosto impressionante. Chalamet è un pesce lesso ma ci sta nel personaggio.

Il commento Partendo da uno spunto apparentemente semplice di una fiaba, Takahata lascia un monumentale testamento, in un film dalla complessità visiva incredibile, di una bellezza estasiante in ogni momento, fino alla commozione.

Il commento Forse il film più genuinamente divertente e divertito della saga di Evangelion, mette per un attimo in secondo piano depressione e segoni mentali per mostrare botte tra robot e mostri, misteri ed evolvere i rapporti tra i personaggi invece che sviscerarli da dentro.

Il commento Film grandioso nell’allestimento, nelle location, nella ricerca del linguaggio, con un Gassman perfettamente in parte, Moderatamente divertente, è in realtà il complesso delle cose a renderlo memorabile, non il singolo episodio. Notevole la prima scena, particolarmente violenta, che si stacca dal mood del resto del film.

Il commento L’idea di un mondo dell’aldilà più vivo e colorato non è nuova ma perfettamente coerente con lo spirito di Tim Burton, e tutto sommato banalotta. La cosa migliore del film è tuttavia la recitazione dei pupazzi, soprattutto Emily, davvero straordinaria. Film forse non necessario, ma non sgradito.

Il commento Il primo film della riedizioni di Evangelion è poco più di un riassuntone delle prime sei puntate, fatte meglio (ma non così tanto) e con qualche piccola variazione sufficiente a fibrillare i fan e gettare la basi dei film successivi.
